Privacy notice
Last updated 2 November 2026. This notice covers the tempa.ai website and the Tempa product. The data controller is MOTOPA LTD, trading as Tempa (company no. 17396753), 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
What we collect
- Website inquiries: the name, email address, organisation, role and message you submit, the time of submission, and a one-way hash of your network address used only to limit abuse of the form.
- Product accounts: email address (and phone number if you choose SMS alerts), your role and organisation, and the actions you take in the product, which are recorded in the audit log because the product exists to provide evidence.
- Sensor data: temperatures, humidity, door state, current and similar measurements about equipment and rooms. This is not personal data in itself; where a room is someone’s home (housing monitoring) we treat the data with the care that implies and only the landlord or estate team you work for sees it.
Why we use it
To respond to your inquiry; to provide the product you or your organisation has asked for; to send the alerts you have configured; to keep the service secure. The legal bases are contract and legitimate interest. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Where it is kept and for how long
In the UK (London) region, with report files in UK or EU storage. Inquiry data is kept for 24 months. Product data is kept for the life of your contract plus the retention period you choose for compliance evidence, then deleted.
Who else sees it
Our hosting, database, email and SMS providers process data on our behalf under contract. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, portability and objection, as set out in UK GDPR. Email privacy@tempa.ai. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies. The product sets the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your selected organisation and site.
